I. Presentation of the Fusioninventory plug-in for GLPI¶
FusionInventory for GLPI is an extension (plug-in) of GLPI allowing a direct connecion with FusionInventory's agents.accessible functionalities from GLPI's interface are :
- discovery of the equipment conneted to the network
- equipment's interogation (inventory) throw SNMP
- hardware and software inventory of the computer on wich an agent is installed
- computer's wake on LAN
note: inventory and wake on LAN module are integrated in the agent.
Funcionality's list :¶
- HTTP or/and HTTPS dialog between plug-in and agent
- Wake the agent from a distance and management of waiting action (inventory,network discovery, wake on LAN...)
- SNMP authentification's management :
- SNMP Version 1
- SNMP Version 2c
- SNMP Version 3 (uncrypted / half-crypted / crypted)
- SNMP patern's management (provided by the plug-in) : maping between SNMP's OID field of GLPI
- Information's recovery of switchs and their ports :
- Information's recovery of each ports (intern MAC, port speed, number of error, connexion's status, etc ...)
- Automatic connexion between ports and computers / switchs / printers / devices / IP phone
- Recovery of printer's information :
- Consumable state : cartridges / photoconductor / recovery of used ink
- Impression indicator and daily / weekly / monthly / annual report
- Agent management on the server (lock, optimisation conserning the number of core and threads, module activation)
- Management of the IP's range to be associate to an agent using entity:
- Activation yes/no,
- Agent choosen for discovery
- Agent choosen for interogate connected devices
- Management of unknown equipment (discover by FusionInventory but doens't appear in GLPI)
- Management of unknown equipment but validate one
- Management of network equipment discovered by agents (computer, switch, router, phone)
- Management of Hub : physical or virtual one (link to virtualization)
- Reports :
- Complete port history
- Port not connceted for n days
