FusionInventory-Agent is based on OCS Inventory Unified Agent for UNIX. It provides a large amount of bug fixes and new feature and remains compatible with OCS Inventory server. Please see the feature page : Features.

Current stable version is 2.1.

Sources¶

The stable version of the agent and its modules are avalaible on the FusionInventory page on the CPAN at http://search.cpan.org/~fusinv/. This is the only available distribution of the software for these platforms: FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, AIX, HP-UX and Solaris.

Standalone distributions¶

Standalone distribution including all dependencies are available on the FusionInventory Prebuilt platform for stable version. The agent included in these archives runs with an embedded perl and doesn't need to think about external dependencies.
For Windows and MacOS X, this is the recommanded way to install the agent. For MacOS X, different packages are available depending on the version of the operating system, from 10.3 to 10.6, and the platform of the computer, PowerPC or Intel.

We recommend to use your system base Perl installation as much as possible for various reason (security update, system integration, memory usage, etc). Especially if packages are availble for you system
